Honoring its 130th year running a business, Japan jewellery and precision instruments-maker has presented its new Grand Seiko 130th Anniversary Special Edition hands-wound watch, which will available in Europe and The United States.

Being an element of the new Seiko 130th Anniversary Commemorative Collection, the brand new watch is nearly a precise reproduction from the original Grand Seiko watch which was launched in 1960.

The only real major distinction between the 2 would be that the new model lacks the Chronometer inscription underneath the logo design and also the small eight-pointed star at 6 o’clock can also be gone.

What’s really new this is actually the Quality 9S64 hands-wound movement, that is made totally in-house.

Modified in 6 positions with an average daily rate between -3 and  5 seconds daily, the movement may easily be eligible for a a chronometer certificate at Swiss COSC institute.

The timekeeper’s 35.8 millimeter situation will come in three versions: stainless (ref. SBGW033,) gold (ref. SBGW040) and platinum (ref. SBGW039.)

As the stainless variation seems affordable at its €5000 suggested retail cost, the model in platinum may leave an enormous hole inside your budget using its heavy cost of €23,500.

The steel version is restricted to 1300 pieces and also the gold and platinum watches is going to be released in 130 pieces each.
